I have no idea where this obessession came from, but I love it. Now, all i need to do is get some moneyz and choose

Shoe Lusts August I

Firstly, yes I may have been caught up in a bit of online shopping distractions. Secondly, yes these distractions were caused by searching for some school shoes. Lastly, yes I do actually need some new shoes {my creepers are falling apart. Not surprising I guess since I have worn them 98% of the time since I bought them..}

I only just realised as I looked at the pictures above but they actually incorporate many of my current favourite trends: tartan, velvet, holographic and platforms. The clear docs popped up on my tumblr dashboard and I scoured all over the interwebs for these simple see-through boots. However unluckily the completely clear ones with no colour stop at a size before mine(let's leave it there xD)...

OH, and the knee high boots, well. That was an old 'thing' of mine. I would constantly wear boots- even in summer, I still have my treasured brown heeled pair however both of my black leather(one with a low wedge- my favourite and a slouchy pull on pair) died. After looking for many months for a new pair I gave up. But I think the trends are now in my favour and I have been able to find some pairs which appeal.

The Beauty of: Stockbridge

A couple of weeks ago was 'Work Experience.' Many schools have got rid of this concept however, luckily for me, mine is still running. The basic idea is that you contact businesses in a field of work that you are interested in. This doesn't work for everyone, but I was very fortunate.
I tagged along with a photography team and saw parts about how small businesses work.

One of the days I got to go out with one of the team and take some shots of a village, and these are the final results.

J.P. Morgan 'Round the Island Boat Race 2013

 The 'Round the Island boat race is one that takes place once a year, "a one-day yacht race around the Isle of Wight, an island situated off the south coast of England. The race regularly attracts over 1,700 boats and around 16,000 sailors, making it one of the largest yacht races in the world and the fourth largest participation sporting event in the UK after the London Marathon and the Great North and South Runs."

The only reason why I know the slightest thing about the race is because my mum's boyfriend happens to compete in it. And every so often, you know, they are quite successful.
Their boat is the GBR707 Madelaine.
Sadly this year their position was 14th, but in 2012 they came 3rd, 2011- 4th, 2010 - 2nd and won in 2007!

So if you saw a certain boat continually popping up in these photos, it's them! For the whole day we raced around the island stopping off at different points to grab some shots of them, so apologetic to others in the race I didn't catch many of the others...
